Sony BRAVIA KDL40BX450 40-Inch 1080p Deal

D. Chambers (Arizona) : Another thing: older analog SONYs let you "Fix Channel" (lock it) on, say, channel 3. This is for us folks that get all their broadcast signals from a cable box--which has all signals coming out of the box to the TV on, say, channel 3. This keeps the kids and spouse and dog from hitting the numeric channel numbers on the remote, and inadvertently going into a black-screen situation. And the subsequent troubleshooting, puzzlement, etc.... This unit has no such feature, altho you can manually go in and block all 141 other channels, so that the unit displays a "Blocked" message and jumps back to normal after a few seconds.

Skyewalker (Smolan, KS): First, I have to say we were a little worried about ordering a TV online. I talked to somoene in the "big products" (not the right phrase, exactly) department at Amazon who assured me the TV would arrive in perfect condition, and if not, returning a TV was as easy as returning a book. So we ordered. And the TV did arrive in perfect condition. So if any of you are worried about ordering such a large and expensive item, set your worries aside.

Jay Goswami: I've used this product for a full day and I am blow away from what it delivers. I bought this TV for heavy gaming (PS3 & PC), watching Dish Network Satellite channels, and Blu-ray movies. I've tested each of these criteria on the Sony KDL40BX450 and have seen amazing clarity. There are also lots of features that it has which add to your personal viewing experience (i.e. different aspect ratios, scene selects, equalizer, etc.). The BRAVIA Sync Functionality works great as well (provided you have a capable SONY device which supports the feature).

Sony Bravia L-Series KDL-26L5000 26-Inch 720p Deal

David Farr (Niles, MI USA): My first hd flat panel. spent a considerable amount of time researching and reading reviews trying to decide what would be my first hd tv. but in the end i came across this one, and with confidence in sony, it was a blind buy. been with it for a month now and i couldn't be more pleased with this tv. @ 720p the picture is stunning. blu-rays on this thing are gorgeous, as are my ps3 games. sound is surprisingly louder and clearer than i expected. as a bedroom set you couldn't ask for better. next, the living room set will definitely be a bravia.

Warren W. Wiley (Ottertail): At the price you may not at first think of this little SONY as a bargain, but wait until you've owned if for a month or so. If you have wasted time trying other, less expensive sets, as many of us have, then you will know what I mean by bargain!
Marvelous picture. Easy to set up and program.Easily moved around. I don't understand the negative comments about sound. What do you want?....a stereo system or a television set??!
This is a GREAT little television.

Stacey Schooler "Stacers" (Yucca Valley, CA) : I was looking for a smaller screen HDTV for the basement when I found the KDL 26L5000. Amazon, as usual, was great. I ordered on Sunday night, was shipped on Monday and received it on Tuesday. And, that was with free super saver shipping! It was simple to set up and the picture is great. The colors are perfect with superb blacks. It is connected through a DirecTv HR22-100 HD DVR. This is a great TV for smaller viewing areas like a den, bedroom, etc. I'm giving 4 stars mainly for the speakers. I would prefer a little more volume and better bass, but perhaps I'm expecting too much from small speakers. Still, I really like this set and highly recommend it.

Sony KDL-47W802A 47-Inch 120Hz 1080p Deal

Jonathan J. Bobal (USA): I recently returned a Panasonic ST60 due to extreme lag while playing video games - and yes, I was obviously using "Game Mode" - It made little difference. You can verify this lag on YouTube video reviews.I bought this TV based off a review I found online stating that the input lag was superior compared to other models - despite the 120HZ nature of the TV, which is supposed to INCREASE the lag, as can be seen by the external site, all comparable tvs are all 60HZ.Regardless, this TV has great clear picture, and has exceptional lag that rivals computer monitors, allowing me, and you, to watch sports and play videogames without issues.

Jeff M.: The design of this TV is fantastic. From the thin bezel to the subtle blue chamfer everything just works and it looks great hanging on my wall. In my opinion Sony has the best video/image processing available and it really shows with this TV. Motion is smooth, colors are accurate, and the TV allows you to tweak these settings to get it just right for you.I do quite a bit of gaming on this TV and let me tell you from doing my pre-purchase research this is one of the best TVs available for gaming. It has the lowest input lag on the market. Meaning gaming input translates to the screen in record time and translates into a smoother more enjoyable gaming experience.

Mr. Alan Clark (Beverly, MA USA) : It was easy to connect and worked exactly as described. The on screen switching allows for easy selection of any of the various inputs. I have, with the use of the 4 HDMI inputs, along with additional RCA switches successfully connected a PS3 console, Roku unit, WII console, a VCR, a DVD recorder, 2 Blu Ray Players (one 3D capable) and my cable box. I can easily switch the sound output to a HI-FI receiver via the optical connection or rely on the TV's own speakers.

Sony KDL65W850A 65-Inch 1080p 120Hz Deal

Anthony V. Mumolo (U.S.A): Ive had my Vizio E701i-A3 for about a month and I have been tweaking various settings the entire time to arrive at what I consider the best picture. I used two blu ray calibration discs; Digital Video Essentials and Spears and Munsil. The end result image with a high quality input source is jaw dropping. Colors are rich and beautifully rendered; clarity and detail are exactly what I would expect from a world class display. Even watching movies I've seen before is a revelation and a totally new experience.

Snipe "Bob" (Sapulpa, OK United States) : Bought this TV after a lot of research looking for the best bang for the buck on a bedroom TV. TV's picture is AWESOME! My cable connection is just basic standard def, but still looks good. (I tried some over the air HD signals for a little while and it was an awesome picture.) I've streamed Netflix in HD and it looks very good. I still had to use my Comcast digital converter box (not real happy about that, but it's ok).

Andy Rosenblum "Andy Rosenblum" (Saratoga Springs, New York): This is without a doubt the finest TV that I've ever had the pleasure to use. In comparison to my 5 year old Samsung HD TV, this one makes the Samsung look like a part of ancient history. The first thing that grabs you is the incredibly sleek design. The bezel surrounding the TV is razor thin, thus there is no wasted space at all. Not only does this provide for excellent viewing, but it makes it possible to place the TV in a cabinet that's just slightly larger than the TV picture itself. It's unlikely that you would want to put it in a cabinet, first because it's difficult to find one that would accommodate it, and second because the TV looks beautiful fully exposed. As for the picture, it's extremely brilliant and so lifelike that when watching sporting events, you get the feeling that you're actually at the event. The same applies to watching any live broadcast, such as the news. The colors are vibrant and right on. In addition, the vividness is spectacular under all lighting conditions, as well when viewing from an angle.

Sony BRAVIA S-Series KDL-46S5100 46-Inch Deal

Michael D. Barton: For a "entry level" set, the S5100 does not disappoint. Yes, SD content looks sketchy because of the huge amounts of upscaling that take place. That's true on any 1080p set. And the compression that the cable and satellite companies use mean you will see blocky compression artifacts around the edges of some HD content.

X "X-Man" (Saint Louis, Missouri USA): I'm not a big TV person, so I can't compare this TV to others. I actually purchased this TV to play my PS3 on it, which is great!!!!! The games at 1080p look absolutely flawless. I can't really make a lot of comments about the functions, but there are a lot of them. Everything looks great and for the price it's great, and it's a SONY!

Nash123 (Chicago USA): Got the TV about two weeks ago, and have been somewhat satisfied. It took a while to get the SD channels look "OK" (sharpness down, etc), but I have concerns over the HD quality. HD channels are pretty good except when we have dark scenes. I get a lot of ghosting which I really hate seeing on a brand new TV. We have Comcast HD in Chicago, and we have really good HDMI cables. I applied the patch the day the TV came, and turned down the auto dim, and played around with all the picture settings including brightness, picture, sharpness... Anyone experiencing the same issues? I have yet to try a DVD

Sony KDL-60R550A 60-Inch 120Hz 1080p Deal

C. Vela (San Antonio, TX United States): Just a quick note on how to fix the annoying issue of the TV going blank while gaming or trying to watch a movie; It seems that Sony is having a little fun with us with their eco settings and the TV seemingly interprets the change of source like a game or movie as an incorrect single and you will end up with a blank screen resulting in having to turn the TV off and back on again which is highly cumbersome;

Matthew Herrera : I have literally been buying a new TV on average every year and a half or so. I always go for the mid line, new technology as I feel that's where I get the most value. This time, I knew exactly what I wanted. I was looking for an LED with at least 120MHZ refresh rate somewhere between 47-55 inches. When I found this, I thought something had to be wrong for a Sony (which I've always looked at as top of the line) to meet all these specs and be at this price. What's even better is it is a 2013 model Sony. I was skeptical until I turned the TV on. Wow. Picture is beautiful; right out of the box

Edward (NC): Here are the picture settings I got from calibrating this Sony TV using Spears & Munsil HD Calibration Disc and a second free calibration disc. I also pulled & compared several settings from the AVS Forum where many posters had posted their calibration settings (thanks to previous reviewer DCT for the link to the AVS Forum).

Sony BRAVIA KDL55HX850 55-Inch 240Hz 1080p Deal

Tim D. Hendon: Leave the TV in standard mode. Decrease the color saturation by 4% to 56. Turn off the presence
sensor and the light sensor. Set motionflow to standard (never use any of the others, including smooth,
as unpleasant background viewing will be very jumpy). When streaming SD set motionflow to OFF, otherwise
leave on standard as the motionflow manipulates the backlight to achieve localized dimming.

Jim K (Santa Barbara, California): I would still recommend the HX850 with one caveat. We can't use the 3D. Sony's 3D should be labeled as a "beta." I would not have been so disappointed if I had been warned. I tried it and lost. The 3D was interesting for one short viewing, but the active glasses were uncomfortable to wear & bothered my eyes. Perhaps, they would have been OK if I had 20-20 vision & did not have to wear my corrective eyeglasses. Sony graciously allowed the return of its glasses and gave me a credit. For practical purposes, I am now the owner of 2 very good 2D TVs.

H. Batra "aks316" (New York): Hi everyone after lot of research and demos of all the leading brands i bought Sony hx850 and i am very very happy with it. The design is very classy as expected from Sony and according to me its the best design. it has awesome picture quality with excellent build quality. Smart features are very good even though i dont use it that much. This tv reminds me of Sonys excellent trintron tvs. Worth it.

Sony KDL-60R550A 60-Inch 120Hz 1080p Deal

C. Vela (San Antonio, TX United States): Just a quick note on how to fix the annoying issue of the TV going blank while gaming or trying to watch a movie; It seems that Sony is having a little fun with us with their eco settings and the TV seemingly interprets the change of source like a game or movie as an incorrect single and you will end up with a blank screen resulting in having to turn the TV off and back on again which is highly cumbersome;

H. Barden "camper-11" (Richmond, VA): I spent lot of time in comparing TVs and looking in best buy & reading reviews but I never liked any med range TVs. I looked at 2013 Samsung (series 6 & 7) F6400, F7100 and LG 47LA7400 / 47LA6900 but all of them had issues. LG has not so accurate colors and light bleeding from corner. In Best Buy showroom I was able to find light bleeding/clouding from the corners. Samsung on the other hand screen brightness uniformity issues and their smart TV interface is not user friendly. Worried if I bring home any of these then in dark room more issues may pop up.

Chetan Veerappa Shirol : Again this Sony product may not look futuristic like Samsung or LG, futuristic remotes (touch/motion remote etc) but it beats easily 2013 Samsung series 6 & 7 and LG 6* & 7* in picture quality, 3D depth perception, Setting options, simple easy to use remote (nice tactile feedback and spacing between keys) and Excellent SONY reputation and build quality. You can't go wrong with this product and that too with free Blu-Ray player and 2 extra glasses, is like icing on the cake.

Sony KDL-32W650A 32-Inch 60Hz 1080p Deal

Sjones: This tv is a beauty to look at. You can tell it is built with greater quality and better materials than other 32 inch televisions, as well as other tvs in this price range. The bezel is small, and made of metal. It forms a nice border for the screen. There is only the faint BRAVIA lettering on the left top corner. There is an energy star label in the lower right corner which can be peeled off. A small silver module at the front has the SONY logo with led lighting. It is a very minimalistic and modern looking television from the front view. At the back of the television it is thin from the top (only 0.5 inches thick), but at the bottom where the power unit and other electronic components are located it has a depth of 2.5 inches.

Larry: So the main question is how is the picture quality? Well I am pleased to say that the picture quality is excellent! Blacks look truly black. THe color palette is pleasant and have a nice pop. The picture look more realistic compared to a 32 inch Samsung I demoed in store. The Samsung appeared over-saturated and images appear burnt out. THe Sony did a better job of showing a more even, realistic, and detailed image.

Yogesh Joshi: I do not know if this is an IPS screen. Even if it wasn't the viewing angles are quite good. I had no issues with sitting off centre. Contrast and brightness are slightly decreased, but still fine. I was happy to note there was no brightness variations across the screen. The lighting is very even on my unit. The screen is somewhere between matte and gloss, so while glare is there it is not disturbing. Further because it is not as matte, as my previous Samsung monitor, the picture appears vibrant.

Sony KDL50R450A 50-Inch 120Hz 1080p Deal

Ramesh: I got this TV on Feb 23 from Costco, now after using for about one month I say this is my Best TV. I had Samsung 40E5050 which too I liked very much. But there was probably some technical issue....that would sometimes produce spark like sound,so I returned that TV. The Costco in my place didn't have that Samsung TV anymore. Since Samsung was very good for me as per picture and sound and price....I couldn't decide which to buy now. Then I saw this Sony Bravia 40R450A (2013model) for unbelievable price. I had always thought of buying Sony but didn't buy because of price. But this 40" led Sony is priced unreasonably low, price is comparable to other brands whereas the quality....its very high !!

B. Lee (New Jersey): So that's the cool feature stuff, but how is the TV compared to other sub-$500 40" sets? Very competitive. We compared this with a Toshiba 40l2200u and a Vizio 39" Smart model, both priced at $400. The Toshiba is not competitive with either of these models. The Vizio seems to have slightly better motion resolution but with less vibrant color capability and far worse sound. Roku's streaming platform has more channels and is more stable than the one built by Vizio as well. The Samsung 40" 5300 is the next best choice, but the Sony is more attractive (to me), sounds better, and I trust Sony gear more than Samsung.

W. Robert Phelps III: Next thing I know Amazon said I could not order another. When Samsung was caught installing the cheap panels on its tvs it made national news, but Amazon seemed to be completely in the dark, which is kind of hard to believe since many of the reviews clearly stated that people knew they had received Samsung tvs with the cheaper panels on them from Amazon. After reading several reviews on this Sony tv I decided to order it instead. I am completely satisfied with this tv, the picture is just as good, if not better, than the Samsung, and I am wondering why I ever decided to go with the Samsung to begin with. It dawned on me that if a company like Samsung is willing to cheat its customers then I do not want to be buying their products because I no longer know what I am getting. I highly recommend this Sony 40" tv!

Sony XBR-65X900A 65-Inch 4K Ultra HD 120Hz Deal

 D. Diggs (Victorville, CA USA): This realization was disconcerting given the vaunted 4K technology in which I made a significant investment was reduced to me having to stand a few feet away to attempt to see something, anything, that was different (i.e., better than my year old set). Knowledgeable of the return policy of the vendor from whom I purchased the 4K, I found myself thinking more and more of divesting myself of this...underwhelming yet significantly priced new innovation.

Forrest S. Morris Jr. (New Hampshire): Really nice TV, this may set new levels for picture quality like 720, 1080, did when they first came out. The colors are amazing add to that the detail and you feel like it's not a picture but the real thing. We got the set on May 16th, maybe one of the first around here(NH), the 5K is hard to swallow at first but in truth we've paid more for Flat Panels when they first came out with no where near the Picture Quality, someone has to start the ball rolling, lol.

Bob North (MN USA): This replaced my 55XBR8, which is one magnificent device. My son will enjoy that. I had my eye on the 65X900A because I wanted a larger screen without any loss of image quality. I'm not interested in 3D and 4k seemed like a big plus for years ahead. I have the Sony media player attached along with my blu-ray, Direct TV, cable, and sound system. Yes, I want excellent sound without my audio system because I don't like too much... fancy surround sound for talking heads and other programs. I'd say I only use sound system 40% of time. Big news is 1080p looks best ever, 1080i also great. Standard def, which I seldom use, is quite good... when I must.

Sony KDL46EX645 46-Inch 1080p 120HZ Deal

R. Goldhammer (Bakersfield, CA, US): I have been shopping for a 46 inch LED TV for about a month at local retail stores only
to find that basically the main or only differences between this TV and that of the
higher priced makes and models of other 46 inch TV's has very little or nothing to do
with the overall actual picture quality but has a lot more to do with the amount of
additional features and options these smart tv's have and are available on the higher
priced makes and models of the same size.

The Simple Geek: All the internet features and options work excellent and really look professional
just like you would see on your home computer'a monitor.
The only drawback with the internet is that you will need to find a compatible
wireless USB keyboard to use unless the remote's up/down/left/right buttons are
good enough for you while surfing the web.

AnotherAmateur's Channel : Not sure why anyone wouldn't give this a 5 star rating. So easy to use and set up, crystal clear picture if you are watching anything HD. This isn't even for sale yet here on Amazon but I bought this at a local dealer yesterday and it is perfect. Apps work great. We have amazon prime and i am watching a movie as I type. We got the 50in and could not be happier.
I shopped for a long time and here is why I got the Sony.

Sony KDL-70R550A 70-Inch 120Hz 1080p Deal

Faisal Yaqoob : I generally like Plasmas for their better picture quality (I already own 5 HD TVs and this is the 6th one). The only reason I decided to go with LED TV was there's no 70" Plasma in the Market. And my 60" looks too small in my great room - possibly because of high ceilings. After researching Sharp's 70" TV I decided to wait for Panasonic to come up with a 70" Plasma, but then Sony came out with this. It was decently priced, had 3D, there were no reviews. But I decided to take a chance - given Sony's reputation. I must say I am not disappointed!

Jonathan C. Cauthorn (Madison, wi): I had my PlayStation connected with an old HDMI cable which worked fine with my old TV. When I connected PlayStation to the new TV with the same cable I was able to see the menus and stuff. However when I try to play a 3D movie the picture would go blank and I would hear sound after long pauses. I remembered reading somewhere that 3D requires newer faster HDMI cables. I had some newer HDMI cables in my stash. So when I changed it everything started working. So if you are unable to play 3D movies try a newer (I think ver 1.4 is required but I am not sure - just google it) HDMI cable.

Dmron (PDX): My issue above was resolved by a call to tech support. I had to unplug both TV and Playstation while they were "on". Then disconnect the HDMI cable, wait for one minute and then plug TV and Playstation back in. Connect the HDMI cable. This resolved the issue above - so I updated my rating to 5 star!

Sony KDL-32R400A 32-Inch 60Hz 720p Deal

Taylor French: Picture quality is as good as I expected. I'm mostly streaming things off of my AppleTV, and I have no complaints of black levels or colors being off. I was very glad to see that this TV has a light sensor, which adjusts the TV brightness to the level of light in the room, as well as a digital optical audio out for my sound system. My only gripe is that there are only two HDMI inputs - one in the back and one on the side, but this seems to be par for the course in this price range.

Mike McMahon:Just received the TV today. Set-up is quick, but there are so many options that the experienced consumer like me can go back and tinker for a long time in all the menus.
On the plus side: Only 2.2cents per day to operate; amazingly light(12 lb.s); slim cabinet; easy to use remote control. It has 'Clear Voice' which is almost magical in providing concise sound, something difficult to do with other sets.

R. Padilla (Los Angeles, CA United States): The Sony KDL-32R400A is a thin, light, 720p HDTV that should satisfy most users looking for less than top of the line LED TV. It's an especially good choice for secondary TV locations, like a guest room or bedroom. Since the introduction of 1080p LED TVs, I have become spoiled. 1080P LED displays are amazing. They are crisper and brighter than the plasmas and florescent-lit TVs that have come before. I'm afraid that one you've seen a 1080p LED display, you won't want anything less. But budget TVs still exist. And "budget" today is 720p LED, which is still excellent, when you consider that more than half HDTV channels still only broadcast in 720p. Plus, LED backlights are super bright and can last 10 years or more. This is a lot of TV for under $300.

Sony KDL-40R450A 40-Inch 60Hz 1080p Deal

 B. Lee (New Jersey): Even better, I also have a Sony STR-DH720 receiver and an older Sony BDP-S370 Blu-Ray Player. First cool feature - HDMI-CEC/ARC. This means the Roku outputs surround sound to the receiver without needing any cables. Just use the Bravia Sync button on the remote to select TV speakers or the amplifier... Which it will automatically turn on and off as needed. That's cool. The blu ray player is also controllable through this menu, and the volume automatically adjusts the right input.
W. Robert Phelps III:
I also prefer the simple and elegant Sony interface over Samsung's cartoon-ish interface, and Sony tv set doesn't make annoying sound when turned on and off like Samsung tv does.
If you use USB sticks to watch video like I do, it might annoy you that Sony only supports MPEG1 and MPEG2 formats, but you can always convert file-types on PC. If you already own a Blu-Ray player, it probably has a USB port that supports all kinds of file types anyways.

TheBuckStopsHere "information overload" (Bluegrass of Kentucky USA): Perfect for us! A lot of other reviewers give you the details about this TV...so read on for those. The reason I looked for and purchased this TV was to get a 50 inch SONY LED HDTV for under a grand without all the bells and whistles I don't need. Specifically, the SMART TV features. I already owned a SONY Blu-ray player with wi-fi ($129 2 years ago) that had all of the features of a SMART TV - Netflix, Amazon movies, Pandora, etc. so all I needed was a simply elegant TV, which is what I got. Had it out of the box and set up in under 10 minutes. With, my blu-ray player connected I can access the exact same content that would have been on the much more expensive SMART TV. Picture quality is great.

Sony Bravia S-Series KDL-40S5100 40-Inch 1080p Deal

Robert L. Birmingham: This is a great TV. I purchased this television from Best Buy, and was happy with it until I noticed the auto-dimming feature. After reading about it online, I've noticed tons of people having the same issue. Fortunately it can be fixed (relatively) easily. All you need is a compatible flash drive (you can check the Sony Support website for a list of compatible flash drives - I used 4 GB Sony Micro Vault), and a PC. From there you simply go to the Sony Support website and download the update/patch for the TV which completely eliminates the auto-dim feature. I got the link by accessing the chat service on the Sony Support site.

 R. Butler (Tucson, AZ): I purchased this tv after carefully weighing the pros and cons with what little information I could find. Overall I am not disappointed. Being a relatively newer model reviews were hard to come by and the one review I found was here on Amazon and it was a bad review. It mentioned the Auto contrast feature included on the Bravia models and complained that during some movies it would darken too much and make the flick unwatchable. I have watched quite a few movies at this point and have not noticed it to be a problem except for maybe during opening credits.

Rebel_w_Cause (FL): I've had this Sony Tv now for a month and feel I can give an adequate review. This series of Sony HDTV is the "S" series which is Sony's lower end model (they have a "V" and "W" also). For the price-point (under six fifty) the pic quality is not bad. The sound using HDMI is also fine as far as volume goes. Granted, the tone quality (richness) is not very good but none of the speakers on these HDTV's are. Contrary to other reviews, I found the speakers to be above average.

Sony KDL-55W900A 55-Inch 240Hz 1080p Deal

John (Atlanta, GA): To provide a little background, I had originally ordered the Samsung UN60F7500 and after receiving two TV's with physically noticeable manufacturing defects (both manufactured the same day in the same plant, go figure!), I opted to receive a refund and try an entirely new brand. I was SO glad this happened because I hadn't realized what I was missing until I received the Sony KDL-55W900A. Now before I begin, keep in mind that the Samsung F7500 is essentially a semi-step down from the F8000, which would be the W900A's direct competitor. The only difference between the F7500 and F8000 is 1.

P. Olshevskiy "Xen Erva Novus" (Tacoma, WA) : I used to own XBR HX950 that was somewhat defective so I had to return it and instead of getting a replacement I got this TV and between XBR HX950 and W90 the difference in how vibrant the colors are is massive. Besides the colors this TV produces, it has the same deep blacks if not close as HX950 which is quite surprising to see sense HX950s main focus was to have really deep blacks more of so in really high contrast ratio scenes. Another thing I noticed is that while HX950 has glare problems because of it's backlight technology this TV doesn't but rather it has flashlighting sense it's edge lit which isn't as big of a problem as glare is, at least to me it isn't. Other than that the Sony's TVs are known for their X Really PRO software engine which makes twicking this TV to your desires a snap. I'd say this TV is the best 1080p TV I have seen to date compared to any brand.

Brae L. Hulery "Braehole" (Reno NV): Not sure how many twitch gamers are looking at this TV but input lag time matters for FPS and online fighting games. This TV is the only one in the excellent category at 20 ms for large HDTV's. Bad input lag means you or your kid will get shot before he sees it on the screen. Not fun for gaming if you have bad input lag, so if you or your kids play lots of games check out these two sites to find a TV for both movies and gaming.

Sony KDL-50R550A 50-Inch 120Hz 1080p Deal

Faisal Yaqoob: I generally like Plasmas for their better picture quality (I already own 5 HD TVs and this is the 6th one).

Jonathan C. Cauthorn (Madison, wi): The Remote control has no keyboard:
When I was looking at TVs I was particularly enamored with the Vizio remote - it's bluetooth and it has a FULL KEYBOARD on it! So, here I get this Sony TV which has no keyboard or even a simplified way to enter letters. Even the LG (or Toshiba? one of them) has a "magic remote" that works like a pointer device (like a mouse). So I was really disappointed that Sony didn't have something more advanced for this.

Dmron (PDX): My screen has the flashlight effect in 3 of the corners. Not nearly as bad as a lot of the pictures I've seen around the web, but still noticeable sometimes. I don't notice it at all when playing video games. I rarely notice when watching movies. Only when the screen is almost entirely black, which isn't that often. I mainly only see it when switching inputs on my receiver. It does annoy me, but if you want a TV this big, it's pretty much impossible to get no flashlighting so you have to be willing to live with some degree of it.

Sony BRAVIA KDL32EX340 32-Inch 720p Deal

NYC Ron (NYC): When my dearly beloved Bravia KDL-32S3000 succumbed to a power surge I sadly went looking for a replacement. The highly rated Samsung UN32EH5000 that I bought soon went back to the store. I might have gotten used to what I consider to be an overly narrow frame around the screen, but I was unable to tone down the garish colors and the tinny sound would have necessitated buying additional speakers. It also didn't correctly automatically size the input from my computer. To toggle back and forth between the computer and TV would have required constant readjustment of the screen setting.
The Bravia KDL-32BX330 which I bought to replace it had a decent picture and I liked its wide frame. It correctly recognized my computer input. On the other hand, it too had a tinny sound.

Bill White (Arleta, CA. USA): I purchased this tv on AMAZON a week ago and am very satisfied with it. The picture, though only 720p, is incredibly sharp. But what sold me on the SONY TV is the incredible range of colors that it can display. I compared it to a comparable Samsung 32" LED TV and found the SONY offered a brighter picture with a wider range of color rendition. Remember the old SONY Trinitron TV sets? I still have one that works from 1981 and even back then the SONY set displayed a wider range of colors. The SONY had a beautiful picture right out of the box and for me it required no further tuning of the settings. However there are many options for the customization of picture and sound settings. The sound on this unit is surprisingly good, though if this is your main tv you might prefer a soundbar or external speakers. The quality of construction of the TV and of the remote control is excellent.

BB Machine "Gadget Geek" (USA): One minor gripe I do have is that neither Sony TV I bought had screws for a wall mount. The wall mount kit I bought didn't even have the right size screws, and because of the speakers at the bottom making the cabinet wider, I had to modify the wall mount to fit the length of screws I was able to find. Come on Sony whats a few screws!!! My Samsung and LG TV's all had them??? Go figure

Sony KDL-60R520A 60-Inch 1080p 120Hz Deal

Chansamone Knight "Love Electronics" (Suitland, MD USA): I opened the box, installed the same day and had it all hooked up and going in less than 30 minutes. Very easy and simple. Though I have not had time to play with all of the features yet, I am sure I will have this TV honed in relatively quickly. It's the perfect size and I have had no initial problems with it. Pixels all look good. I will give another update when I get everything taken care of.

Fletch : I bought this TV for a living room, with normal light conditions with large windows to the side of the TV, but they do have curtains to block out light. It looks great even with the factory picture settings out of the box. I am working on calibration to optimize picture settings, and with every adjustment it keeps on getting better.

Greatdane (Redwood City, CA): I have read a lot of reviews stating the smart TV portion on this Sony model is kind of slow. What I found is Netflix & Hulu Plus work great and I have had no issue on browsing other apps as well. However, the interface is a bit slow but not as much as some other users have stated. Browsing in the Apps is fast as it normally is but browsing through Sonys interface, similar to the PS3 XMB screen is a bit slow. I don't really mind it, as I just use the smart tv to for Netflix, youtube & hulu and it works great. It can no way compete with the processing speed of a laptop or desktop but its fine for regular use. If you want to browse the internet just like you do on your laptop, just hook it up with an HDMI. Also, with this TV you get a free 1 year subscription to both Netflix & Hulu Plus, which is $200 savings on its on!!!

C. Vela (San Antonio, TX United States): Just a quick note on how to fix the annoying issue of the TV going blank while gaming or trying to watch a movie; It seems that Sony is having a little fun with us with their eco settings and the TV seemingly interprets the change of source like a game or movie as an incorrect single and you will end up with a blank screen resulting in having to turn the TV off and back on again which is highly cumbersome;

Sony KDL-32R400A 32-Inch Deal

Photonashville "John" (Nashville, TN USA): Love this tv. It's everything I remember about having a Sony. The picture is very natural and less "digitally" than other tvs I've seen. Setup, menus, remote, inputs, all well designed and thought out. I love the ability to watch content streamed from a USB drive. The feature worked nicely, though I did forget that my usb drive was Mac formatted and it took me a while to figure out why it wasn't working. The set is very minimal and elegant and compliments the room (as much a a tv can I suppose). Viewing angles are excellent side to side and top to bottom. I was worried initially since the angle of the set doesn't adjust vertically but this has been a non issue due to great viewing angles. I was also pleasantly surprised by the great sound of the built in speakers.

Sam: Since It's a new product, I thought you might find this review a useful one.
Despite the fact that sometimes Sony products are more expensive than other companies, such as: Samsung and Toshiba, I'm a big fan of Sony products because of the high quality in products and customer service. I've been using this TV for a month now and its amazing.
The weird this is that its the same price as the older version of 32-inch Sony TV, so I preferred to take my chance since there were no reviews at all.

Taylor French: While other brands' products scream "I AM A FANCY TV - LOOK AT ME!" Sony always does a good job of keeping things elegant and understated. In fact, the only thing on the bezel (other than SONY) is the energyStar certified logo. The controls are cleverly hidden in a recess on the back-right-hand side. This simplicity is also evident in the menu system, which is very easy to navigate, as well as the remote, which is laid out very intuitively with just the right amount of buttons.

Sony KDL-40R450A 40-Inch Deal

 B. Lee (New Jersey): What if you could get a high quality Sony smart television with access to Netflix, HBO Go, Hulu Plus, Pandora, and more... And what if it output sound to your receiver without needing any additional cables than the hdmi in you have plugged in already? What if all this could be had for a shade over $500?

W. Robert Phelps III: Had this TV for all of 2 days, but totally impressed by it so far. Couldn't ask for a better picture and the sound is good. Setup was a snap and it is a good-looking piece of furniture. Just went with the default settings, but don't know what I would really tweak. I did a lot of research and I really think this is the best 40" LED for under $500. Buy it!
